Trout action was good this week with anglers using Power Bait ( especially garlic, salmon peach and orange), night crawlers, jigs and lures to catch their limits. Most trout are near two pounds. Best bite is before 10am. Hot spots include the logged eastern shore, grassy point and western shore from the pump house to the bridge of lake 3 as well as the northern shore of lake 2. Catfish bite continues to be strong on night crawlers, Power Bait ( garlic and salmon peach) and mackerel. Hot spots for catfish include the western and eastern shores of lake 2 and the western shore of lake 3. Bass are hitting senkos and spinner bait with fish up to 4 pounds. Hot spots for bass include the south eastern shore of lake 2 near the wall and the northern shore of lake 3. Bluegill are biting meal worms and small jigs with fish weighing up to 2 pounds. Hot spots for bluegill include the northern shore of lake 3 near the pump house and the south eastern shore of lake 2.

The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round.
This year the Lakes' hatchery is amping up the weekly trout stockings with bigger fish overall.

The cooler weather continues to improve the trout bite on both lakes. Best trout bite is before 10am. Our Anglers used everything in their tackle boxes again this week to catch trout . The bite remains the same as last week. We've had a bit of a cooling trend with night temps in the low 60's and daytime temps around 90 degrees. Best trout bite is before 10am. Our Anglers used everything in their tackle boxes again this week to catch trout this week.
