The cooler weather continues to improve the trout bite on both
lakes. Best trout bite is before 10am. Our Anglers used everything in
their tackle boxes again this week to catch trout . Those anglers who
worked their tackle and baits ( especially garlic, orange and rainbow
Power Bait, lures and jigs), reeled
in nice size trout that were near or over two pounds. Hot spots included
the eastern logged shore and western
shore from the bridge to the pump house of lake 3 and the northern shore
of lake 2. Catfish bite continues to
be strong on Power Bait, shrimp and night crawlers. Hot spots for
catfish include the western shore of lake 3
from the drain to the pump house and the eastern, western and northern
shores of lake 2. Bass are active
and hitting spinner bait, senkos and tubes on the western and northern
shore of lake 3 as well as the
eastern, southern and northern shore of lake 2. Bluegill bite remain
strong with anglers using meal worms
and jigs to catch nice size fish --( most are near one pound or over).
