Capt Merit here.  On our way home to Santa Barbara Harbor after another fantastic day on the water. Our 25 fishers decked: 
250 rockfish, 
120 ocean whitefish, 
22 sheephead, 
1 sculpin, 
1 diamond turbot.
We started where we had our best bite yesterday and stuck to it, 150 to 180 feet of water, limiting on rockfish with more than an hour to spare. The whitefish came at the same time. From there we fished a short time over sand hoping for a halibut, but came up with a turbot. Next was fishing the tall cliffs in right where we tussled with some gnarly sheephead, getting some and getting ruined by some more. Big fun in beautiful surroundings with new good friends.
