As of October 4th the lake was at 70% capacity. We are in the fall season for bass fishing! Large and small mouth bass have been biting lipless crank baits, swim-jigs, swimbaits, jigs and topwater. The bass are continuing to school up and round up shad into bait ball and feed on them. Now is the time to use those baitfish imitating lures such as jerkbaits, swimbaits and lipless cranks. You will find bass in grass, main lake points, bluff wall and near brush. The trout bite has really been picking up lately as well. They are biting on deep diving crank baits, needlefish and nightcralwers. The catfish bite is slowing down a bit, but is still good. Now is the time to catch those aggressive bass before winter starts to kick in. Tight lines!
