BASS
The bass are on beds and eager to bite Senkos, scroungers, drop shot rigged purple plastics, and green pumpkin or watermelon brush hogs. Most bass have been caught in 3-10 feet of water allover the lake. Desertfishen2 released 22 bass fishing with scrounger and Senkos fishing the dams. .

TROUT
Trout fishing slowed a bit this week, but there were still some notable catches. Nightcrawlers, mini jigs, and trout worms were the most reported baits. Shore anglers seemed to do better than the boaters. The trout were caught in as little as 3 feet of water so light line is a must. Charlie Vasquez of La Puente caught a 6.58 pound trout fishing from shore with a Kastmaster.

STRIPER
Striper fishing was slow this week. Stripers are always on the move, but the most consistent spots have been the inlet tower or the east dam. Anglers have caught striper on swimbaits, either trolling as deep as 50 feet, or throwing into boils.

CATFISH
Winter time is not the best time to fish for cats, but there has been some big fish caught over the past few months. Mackerel, anchovies and shrimp have been the typical baits.

PANFISH
Pan fish have been gradually moving into the shallows so the hot bite is just around the corner.
