The New year brings on plentiful trout harvest, nightcrawlers, morning hours and powerbait are at the top of the menu. Striped bass are striking on spinner baits and topwater. In the morning hours with trout- like submersibles in the afternoons, when trolling.

These are the following ratings:

Bass: Fair with an Average size of 3 pounds.
Bluegill: Fair with an Average size of 1 pound.
Carp: Fair with an Average size of 4 pound.
Catfish: Fair with an Average size of 4 pounds.
Striper: Excellent with an Average size of 3 pounds.
Trout: Excellent with an Average size of 3 pounds.

Trout and striper continue to dominate the winter action, the trout are plentiful in the Coves off Launch Ramp 2. Boating anglers are grabbing stripers at the Inlet and trolling near the Dam. The cold weather hasn't stopped the hardiest anglers from successful hunting of striped bass and rainbow trout. Trout are productive all day long and the striped bass have been showing best in the warmer late morning and early afternoon conditions.
