Trout are still being caught along the channel by the front booth and along the rip rap in front of the boat shop using worms and powerboats throughout the day. People are also having luck using kastmasters and little spinner baits throughout the marina for trout as well over the past couple weeks. Striper boils are still being seen throughout the lake, mainly out by Chumash Island, Spanish Point and Serrano and have also been biting well on kastmaster and top water baits. Anglers have also been marking stripes up to 100 feet deep around the lake during the head of the day and have been successful either trolling, jigging or even sinking some bait. Both largemouth and smallmouth bass have also been biting very well the first few hours of the day on top water baits and various soft plastics along the shoreline and throughout the coves.
