The bass bite has switched up over the past week due to the colder weather, making soft plastics and jigs the better option to fish with around the lake and also from shore. Anglers have had luck using the drop shot method with nightcralwers or roboworms from the shoreline and also in coves throughout the lake like Tincup Cove or along Nugget Point. Stripers have continued biting a variety of baits but mainly lugworms, nightcralwers, sardines and chicken liver have been working the best both from shore and off points of coves throughout the lake. Hot spots from shore have been along the rip rap in front of the boat shop, and also along the canal by the entrance booth.
