Anglers have been successful over Thanksgiving week both from shore and throughout the lake. Hot spots for stripers from shore have been along the rip rap in front of the boat shop and also along the canal by the entrance booth. Most bites have been on chicken liver, sardines, lugworms and night crawlers, bait and wait style. Coves around the lake have produced the most, fishing around 20-40 feet down and also off rocky points for stripers. Bass have also been biting in the coves and along the shoreline on plastic baits mainly weedless setups, and nightcrawlers. Trout were planted on the 8th, and have still been caught around the marina and in the first few coves of the lake on worms and power baits.
