Happy 4th!
We're rolling back home from a beautiful day at SRI. We started our day in deeper waters and leapfrogged spot to spot shallower and farther west. Along the way we had flurries of deep cods -- a mix of nice reds, gorilla groupers and killer coppers. With about half limits in the bag on the deep stuff we arrived in the 150 - 170 foot depths and made two longer drifts, topping out our rockfish limits and adding whitefish and a few more lings to our catch. Most aboard fished the std. double dropper gear and that worked well.
Our final totals were rockfish limits all round, consisting of 100 copper, 50 red, 1 canary, and 99 misc. rockfish, plus 12 keeper Lingcod releasing about the same number of shorts, and 12 whitefish.
We still have lots of room for Thursday & Friday’s 1/2 day Trips. The Stardust is a go 3/4 day fishing as well. There is a Cousins Tackle/Promar-Ahi/Reel Anglers Sponsored Trip Sunday. Book all trips from our website or call 805-963-3564
If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (805) 963-3564 to get in on the action
