The fishing at Castaic is good. Fishermen are catching largemouth bass, smallmouth, and stripers. Largemouth and smallmouth bass are biting small plastics and spoons in 20 to 45ft. The stripers are being caught on lugworms, spoons and trolled umbrella rigs. Some bigger stripers have been caught on swimbaits.

Fishing at Castiac is good if you can find the schools. Bass and stripers are biting spoons and ice jigs in 30 to 50 ft. The bass are also biting small plastics in 15 to 35 ft.
