Bumpy weather but good fishing for us today again over at Santa Rosa Island. We got off the dock this morning with 16 Angler’s and headed across this morning despite a slightly breezy forecast.
Although the right across was very bumpy the wind backed off rollers we arrived at our first destination and stayed pretty nice for most of the day. We stayed on the shallow side of things all day and had steady fishing on the live bait and dropper loops with nice Coppers and a few Blue’s. We saw a couple spots of whitefish throughout the day but for whatever reason they seemed very hesitant to bite. Towards the afternoon the wind kicked up substantially along with the swell however thankfully we had what we needed and headed for Home. Our group worked hard today and stuck with it ending up with a nice day.
Our 16 anglers put together 160 Rockfish, 66 Whitefish and 4 Lingcod.
Both boats are privately chartered tomorrow and full for Sunday as well. The Stardust will be running half-day trips Monday through Wednesday next week with plenty of room and the Coral Sea has 3/4 Day Trips with availability those days too. Please visit our website to book online or call the Sea Landing at 805 963-3564.
If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (805) 963-3564 to get in on the action
