Another beautiful day out on the ocean. We headed out to our shallow water zone today and had some pretty decent fishing. We did a couple shakedown stops in the morning which were slow but once we got the hang of things we started putting some nice fish on board.

Most of our fish today were caught with strips of sardine on the dropper loops. We had a bit of current so the 6oz weight was most appropriate. We fished around a lot hitting numerous spots catching a lot of reds and assorted rockfish with a few nicer coppers mixed in. We also got onto some stones that produced ocean whitefish, sheepshead and lingcod.

In the end we had quite a nice tally of fish on board. For our 32 anglers we caught 161 rockfish, 42 ocean whitefish, 7 sheephead and 8 lingcod. The Stardust is running a 1/2 day trip tomorrow and has some room available.
