We're headed back across the channel right now while the passengers relax and have some cheeseburgers and the crew hard at work processing today's catch. We had a very nice weather report for today and shot straight towards Santa Rosa first thing this morning looking for some lingcod.
Our lingcod fishing this morning was decent, it was not full throttle by any means but we did manage a few drifts where we put on numerous fish and some very good size ones as well. One of our lingcod came in at 21lbs on the scale, a very impressive fish.
We decided to headed out to the rockfish grounds mid morning and looks for some reds and coppers in the deeper water. We did find a few stones that kicked out good numbers but the fishing for the most part was fairly slow and steady. However, the quality of the rockfish was very good.
We fished hard for the rest of our time and called it a day with some nice bags for our guys to take home. The weather stayed nice for us all day and had light but variable currents for our drifts today.
For our 26 anglers we caught 128 rockfish, 2 rock sole and 22 lingcod. The Stardust is full for tomorrow's trip but please feel free to book spots now for Monday's 1/2 day trip or Thursday & Friday's 3/4 day trips on our website or call the Sea landing at 805-963-3564.
If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (805) 963-3564 to get in on the action
