We headed out this morning to some shallower spots with live bait in the tanks and plenty of squid strips cut up. We got to our first zone and found that fishing was very scratchy, we caught only a few nice reds out of our first part of the morning. We decided to make a move in hopes of finding more eager fish.
We got to our next zone and found fishing to be a little better but still nothing super special. We did catch some more reds and other species including ocean whitefish, sandbass and a couple sheepshead. We fished for a while until we made another final move for the day where we ended up catching a couple more sandbass and some ocean whitefish. Overall fishing was slow but it was a nice day out at sea and our folks had a good time.
For our 19 anglers we caught 86 rockfish, 5 sandbass, 2 sheep head and 20 ocean whitefish. The stardust is 3/4 day fishing tomorrow and still has lots of room, you can JUST SHOW UP IN THE MORNING. Friday is 3/4 day trip is also a go with a very light load as well. Please make reservations for Friday or for any trips next week by calling the landing at 805-963-3564 or booking from our website online booking.
If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (805) 963-3564 to get in on the action
