The water temperature is between 70 degrees. Catfish: High Action- Catfish is very hot right now. Any cove... 5-10 feet with cut baits. Remember keep it simple this is an easy catch, chicken liver, mackerel, and anchovies ...Also caught over by Launch Ramp 2. Blue Gills: Slow to Medium Action- Mostly across from marina or East Bay. Hitting on night crawlers, meal worms, red worms, and crickets. Small amounts of bait to cover a #6 or # 10 hook, light line small or clear bobbers. Striper: Slow Action- This species crave cooler water, Striper's will be over by Inlet or middle of lake.. Chicken liver, fresh sardines and anchoives..10-20 ft. level with umbrella rig and Alabama rigs. Large Mouth: Slow Action- Hot temperatures so best bite early morning or late afternoon. Working in any cover or shadows slowly with long cast not to spook them. Your best bet small spinners, crank baits, flukes and swim baits. Try plastic creature baits, crawdads, top plastic frog action fun. Trout: No Action.
