The lake is warming up and the Striper's bite is kicking in. Best bet are Anchovies, out by the Dam, and points. Trouts, still going strong in Coves on Power bait - Dough and Meal Worms.

Trout bite was excellent with anglers using power bait (especially yellow and orange) crawlers to catch fish from shore in all caves. Also the Striper bite was excellent with anglers using anchovies and power minnows to catch fish by the Dam and Intake Area. Notables: Sam Pickens of Helendale scored a 4 1/2 pound trout and caught 5 trout on chunky power bait while fishing in the Cleghorn Cave. Kathy Summers of Apple Valley scored a 6 pound striper......
