Trout bite was excellent with anglers using power bait (especially yellow and orange) crawlers to catch fish from shore in all caves. Also the Striper bite was excellent with anglers using anchovies and power minnows to catch fish by the Dam and Intake Area.

Notables: Sam Pickens of Helendale scored a 4 1/2 pound trout and caught 5 trout on chunky power bait while fishing in the Cleghorn Cave. Kathy Summers of Apple Valley scored a 6 pound striper and had 3 strippers total on anchovies while fishing at the Dam. Larry Jameston scored a 7 pound striper and 3 strippers total using minnows bait while fishing at the Dock.
