Thursday July 7th, 2016 Stardust 3/4 Island Trip Good afternoon folks we are making our way back towards the harbor with our 27 anglers enjoying the smooth ride in down swell after a blustery day at Santa Rosa Island. Throughout the day we had steady fishing on both nice quality Reds and Coppers as well as a few stones that kicked out a little better Lingcod activity than we have seen lately. The morning was was definitely slower than the afternoon for us today however our group stayed persistent and stuck with it ending the day with a nice catch for everyone on board. The double dropper loop set up with a 12 oz. Sinker with live Anchovie was the most productive set up today with a few caught on Squid strips as well. Our 27 anglers put together a combined catch of 51 Reds, 114 Coppers, 19 misc. rockfish and 41 Lingcod. The Stardust is heading out on a 3/4 Day trip tomorrow with room and the Coral Sea is going 1/2 day fishing tomorrow with spots available as well.
