7.04.16 Coral Sea 3/4 Day Island Trip Happy Independence Day! We are on our way in from a fun day of rockfish & lingcod fishing at Santa Rosa island. We fished a new zone today and came across an area that held a very nice grade of reds, coppers ('chuckleheads'), and lingcod. Unfortunately only a fraction of what was there was hungry and so we ended up with only a modest catch of rockfish but did manage some nice lingcod as well... Our 25 anglers today captured 66 reds, 43 copper rockfish, 11 misc. rockfishes, and 41 lingcod. Very good grade of fish across the board today, just not quite the numbers I had hoped for.. The Coral Sea has 3/4 day trips scheduled Tuesday-Wednesday and the Stardust has 1/2 day trips scheduled Tuesday-Wednesday as well so please call Sea Landing at 805-963-3564 or go to our webpage and book your reservations today!
