6.27.16 Coral Sea 3/4 Day Island Trip Good evening folks we are on our way home after a long day of fishing at SRI. We spent a couple of hours this morning fishing in the shallows with somewhat lackluster results and then switched gears and spent the remainder of our trip a bit deeper. Quality of fish was very good today but we never got on anything that really wanted to go for us so we had to grind this one out until late in the afternoon... Our 9 eager anglers today captured 51 reds, 28 copper rockfish, 11 misc. rockfishes, and 21 lingcod. Thanks to our small group of passengers today, you guys made it possible for us to get off the dock so thank you very much!
