Despite the high winds in the afternoon this week, many limits of trout, bass, and catfish were caught by anglers of all ages. Three rainbows caught on the troll weighed in at 8-8.5lbs proving the dam is still the best area for trout. Kastmasters and Rapalas are absolute necessities this year for anglers wanting a trophy fish. The bass bit well this week at the mouth of Clark Canyon, the west side of E Point, and along banks by Drake Cove. Deep cranks and nightcrawlers consistenly brought in both smallmouth and largemouth throughout the day. Multiple limits of channel cats were caught using cut mackerel and chicken liver baits. The back of Cachuma Bay, Johnson Bay, and Sweetwater Bay held many 1-2 pound catfish this week.
