Hello folks...we are still on the water, returning to beautiful Santa Barbara harbor after a long and productive day of island rockfish fishing. We started off this morning fishing the deeps (300'+) and somehow managed to put 98 of them big coppers & reds on the boat. A strong northerly current all morning made dragging our gear over the small stones a bit challenging to say the least... Around noon we switched gears and fished some 25-30 fathom (150-180') stuff and caught another 50-55 nice medium grade (2-2.5 lb) coppers along with some nice ling cod. After fishing in that zone for an hour or so we ran into 9-10 fathoms up close to Santa Cruz island and finished off our day catching some nice ocean whitefish, sheephead, lingcod, and misc. rockfish! Our group of 18 anglers today caught 133 coppers, 46 misc. rockfish, 1 cabezon, 15 lingcod, 57 ocean whitefish, 7 sheephead, and one jumbo sculpin. Much thanks to my passengers today for sticking it out at the rail! The Stardust has a 3/4 day trip tomorrow that's a 'go' for sure and the load should be light so call Sea Landing at 805-963-3564 and secure a spot on the trip today!

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (805) 963-3564 to get in on the action
