The catfish are very active right now hitting everything from stink bait, to worms, to Rapalas. Quite a few cats hit the 4+ pound mark this week coming out of Cachuma Bay. Many anglers reported catching 10-15 bass a piece off the rock walls in Cachuma Bay as well. Crank baits and spinners are still working very well while most bait fishermen from the shore had luck with nightcrawlers. The trout bite has slowed down a bit with the increasing water temperature so it's time to bust out the lead core line and let out 3 to 6 colors. Crappie and bluegill are doing very well around Santa Cruz Bay and the cistern peninsula on the east side of the lake. Jigs, mealworms, and surface trolling lures have been getting the job done.

Water Temperature: 65 Degrees

Bass: Good
Bluegill: Fair
Carp: Fair
Catfish: Excellent
Crappie: Good
Trout: Good

Catfish bit mackerel and worms in every cove on the lake this week and even hit on spinners at the...... Read More
