12,000lbs of rainbow trout (Nebraska Tail walkers) have been stocked in our gorgeous 44 acre lake the first 5 weeks of trout season.
2,000lbs of Nebraska rainbow trout will be stocked on Monday December 29TH 2014 with extra trophy trout for the Christmas Holidays!
OPEN FOR FISHING ON NEW YEARS DAY!

The lake has recovered well and water clarity has been improving daily. Perfect weather along with being the only lake protected from the high winds last week made for a very busy little lake! Trout fishing has been 'awesome' after the heavy stocking last week. Five fish limits the norm for both shore anglers, float tubers and rental boats. Fish are chewing in all zones with most of the 'trophy' trout being hooked up in front of the big island in zone 2. There are a good number of trout hanging out in deeper water by the bubble holes and in the flats by the launch ramp. Inflated night crawlers, pink/white mouse tails dipped in 'Bite On' garlic scent and garlic power bait in any color all working well. Jig bite has picked up with white/green the best color combo. Fly fishing has also picked up with the improving water conditions. Midge bite has still not gone off yet bet a good number of 'tail walkers' have been attacking the streamers in various patterns.

Every day we took pictures of trophy trout that were being weighed in at the scales last week! Big trout of the week was caught by Daniel Leboeuf of La Habra with a 10lb tail walker caught on white 'Sierra Slammer' trout jig in zone 1. Float tuber/ fly fisherman Michael Yu of Newport weighed in a 9lb 02oz trout while stripping a 'Twin Lakes' streamer in the flats. Alex Berlin of Torrance caught a 9lb rainbow working a white/pink trout jig off the shoreline in zone 3. Sal Ucada of Lake Forest weighed in a 9lb trout working a trout jig off the shoreline in zone 3. Robert and Gianna Carlson of San Clemente combined their efforts to haul in a 9lb trout soaking rainbow power bait at the launch ramp. Kevin Lin of Temple City topped of his 5 fish limit with a 8lb 08oz trout that hit a white/pink power mouse in zone 3. Isaac Cooper of Orange caught a 8lb 04oz trout soaking a white/pink mouse tail in zone 1. Fourteen trophy trout in the 6lb to 8lb class were weighed in last week
