The big fish parade is on at Santa Ana River Lakes. There were 15 trout that weighed in at over 10 pounds this past week at Santa Ana River Lakes. Antonio Rincon of Moreno Valley caught a 14 pound trout using a plastic worm at Sandy Beach. Arturo Velasquez, pictured above of Anaheim caught 3 big trout totaling 27 pounds, his largest weighing 10 1/2 pounds using mini jigs & night-crawlers also at Sandy Beach. Bill Wright, Photo #1 of Anaheim caught 2 big trout totaling 18 1/2 pounds, his heaviest fish was 11 pounds 12 ounces using chartreuse Power-Bait at the Pump House. James Anderson of La Puente also caught 2 big trout totaling 18 pounds 4 ounces, his biggest trout was 10 pounds 4 ounces using night-crawlers & chartreuse dough bait. The Santa Ana River Lakes WON Lightning Trout & Super Trout tournament is scheduled for Dec. 7th.

Santa Ana River Lakes is open seven-days-a-week and during trout season, 24 hour fishing will be on full moon weekends only.
