Well here we are in the middle of the holiday season and we continue to have very good striped bass fishing at Castaic Lake in Castaic California. This has worked out to be really nice as it affords people the opportunity to go out and have lots of fun and catch good numbers of fish even though it's winter here in California. A couple of nice things about the striped bass fishing at Castaic Lake is it's very simple fishing. So it makes for really easy fishing for family and friends. What I'm getting at is if you'd like to go fishing and bring a friend or two this is the perfect style of fishing for that.

We recommend that you keep as many as you like to take home and eat. We're even telling our clients to please bring an ice chest with ice in it and keep it in your car that way at the end of the fishing day we can put the striped bass and your ice chest for you to take home. The limit on striped bass is 10 fish per person and there is no size limit. We are fishing the striped bass on light spinning tackle and 6 pound test line so it's a lot of fun to catch these 2 to 7 pound striped bass on light tackle.
