Corona Lake is continuing to load up the lake with trout to kick off this season with a bang. Another huge stocking of Sierra Bows & now Lightning Trout will happen on Oct. 31. Anglers have been catching all different species including trout, catfish, bass, crappie & even sturgeon. Andy Martinez of Fontana caught 5 trout totaling 8 pounds using night-crawlers by the rocks at the dock. Ethan, Steve & John Sagan of Riverside caught 15 catfish totaling 36 1/2 pounds using shrimp at the Dam. Magdaleno Calvario of Chino Hills caught & released a 30 pound sturgeon using a worm by the dam. Tom Cychner of Upland caught 5 crappie totaling 5 pounds using Power Worms at the private boat launch ramp. Ralph Taylor of Fontana caught & released a 4 pound bass using a Strike King lure near the boat dock. Corona Lake is open seven-days-a-week and during trout season, 24 hour fishing will be on full moon weekends only.
