Another excellent week for catfish, with 1000 pounds of 2 to 4 pounders stocked Monday. Double stocking next week with 1,000 pounds of 2 to 4 pounders on Monday the 12th and 1,000 pounds of 6 to 22 pounders on Friday the 16th. Carolina rig with M & M , mackerel, shrimp and doused with garlic scent has been producing well for fishermen. Action has been good all around the lake with the larger fish coming from the north shore and grassy bank areas. Cooler temperatures have allowed fishing through-out the day with best times being early morning or late evening. Big fish of the week went to Kim Johnson with a 16 pounder along with a 7.5 pounder. A.C. Marshall of Hesperia and Mark Fletcher of Victorville both had fish weighting over 8 pounds. Dave Hargis of Wrightwood took home a 19 pound stringer with 3 fish. Hesperia LakeFishing has been good to excellent in the early morning or late evening. Fish up to 9 lbs. Some stringers in the 20 pound total weight had been reported as well. Two stocks next week with a regular stock on Monday the 22nd and a Special stock of larger fish on the 26th.
