Steady action for most in the creek despite higher than average July flows for the most of the week. Following the heavy rain accompanying the afternoon/evening thunderstorms this week, we did see the creek flows turned down a bit over the weekend. Salmon eggs were the most productive bait but some folks did really well on Salmon Peach Powerbait or Panther Martin spinners as well. Lots of little Browns & Brookies being fooled by crickets in the harder to reach holes. Most of the stockers are in the 11" range but the Brooders in the 2 to 4lb class are still being stocked as well.
Pictured Above: Jeff Hulse from West Hills, CA used a Panther Martin spinner to land an incredibly streamlined 23" holdover Alper that weighed in at 3.82lbs.
Photo #1: Top fish from the South Fork this week was a healthy 4.14lb beauty caught by Jeff Hulse from West Hills, CA using Salmon Peach PB down by the Tyee Bridge.
