Bass & Panfish are on the bite at Diamond Valley Lake, Striper action has slowed

BASS
Anglers are still catching limits on bass between 3-5 pounds. There were also a few reports of bass weighing between 7-10 pounds. Plastics are working best in the pink, purple and brown colors. Senko's also work great in the green, brown, and pumpkin colors. Anglers are also using flies to catch bass.

STRIPER
Stripers slowed down this week, but there were still some keepers caught between 5-19 pounds. Anglers are still trolling with flies and using lures that replicate baby bass and shad. Mike Southerland of Hemet caught an 18.72 pound striper trolling a homemade fly called Mike's fly.

CATFISH
The catfish bite picked up this week with some nice ones weighing between 6-10 pounds. Anglers are catching cats with mackerel, anchovies, stink bait, and flies. Greg and Donna Cartier, Photo #1 caught an 8.54 pound catfish using anchovies.

TROUT
No reports of trout caught this week. Typical bait for trout are mini jigs, powerbait and powerworms.

PANFISH
Anglers are catching limits by the pound! Night crawlers and mealworms are working best for panfish. Dyllan Bove, pictured above, 11 of Riverside caught a nice 1.73 pound redear using a night crawler off shoreline.
