Summer is here and the place to fish and camp overnight on the weekends is at Corona Lake. With the huge quantities of catfish & tilapia stocked every week, no doubt that this makes the fishing remarkable.

The catfish bite seems to be at its best around midnight, so anglers deciding to fish overnight seem to have a tactical advantage. Dave Berry, pictured of Lake Village is one of those overnight fishermen. Dave ended up with 13 catfish totaling 39 lbs. 10 oz using Whoopass catfish bait. Dave's largest catfish weighed in at 13 lbs. 4 oz. fishing from a boat. Leroy Johnson of Compton, another 24 hour fishermen landed 10 catfish totaling 34 lbs. 3 oz. His heaviest catfish weighed in at 10 lbs. 6 oz also fishing from a boat using Whoopass catfish bait. Andrew & Mario Nieto of Anaheim & Corona caught 10 catfish totaling 29 lbs. The teams largest catfish was 9 pounds fishing at the dam using mackerel.

Corona Lake is open seven-days-a-week and has 24 hour overnight fishing/camping sessions every weekend during the summer.
