Lake Skinner Park Hours: 6:00 A< to 10:00 PM
Lake Skinner Marina Hours: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Water Temperature: 74 degrees
Water Conditions: Water flow is pretty good but the water level is down 10 ft.
Fish Report:
Bluegill are still going strong on white & yellow jigs with wax worms and live crickets at the back of East Bay and west of Ramp 2. Also free flying nightcrawlers will work.
The Catfish bite is doing very well hitting on chicken liver at Catfish Alley or the coves up hallow next to the reeds in East Bay.
The largemouth bite on the other hand has been moderate with topwaters using frogs or poppers. Flukes and jerk baits work better on the points. Due to the water being so low there has not been good cove action.
Striped Bass action has been good in the early morning. We see lots of boils and chicken liver or anchovies work well at either East Bay or the Outlet. Jerk baits have been effective along the entire south shore bank. The other good spot has been down 25 ft. in the water column, although tht will vary a little daily. And lastly, unbrella rigs have been effective trolling.
The trout bite has been virtually non-existent. Chicken livers ahs worked this week for some hungry fish.
