Revised Fish Report

This weekend's Friday-night catfish opener at Irvine Lake just got more interesting, as several large batches of catfish were stocked this week, making this week's total catfish stocking a whopping 12,500 pounds, reported Jimmy Getty at the Pro Shop. "We just stocked 10,000 additional pounds of catfish today [Thursday], plus the 2,500 pounds of catfish that were stocked on Wednesday in both the main lake and the Kids Lagoon. Things are looking like we will have an absolutely fantastic opener tomorrow night", observed Getty. "The catfish are already biting; this week, the fishing team from the 'Los Anglers' line of clothing had a spectacular multi-limit catfish stringer that totaled over 200 pounds, and the opener should see an excellent overall catfish bite. There's a reason that Irvine Lake is known as one of the top catfish lakes in the United States!" Getty continued, "Our revised summer hours will take effect this Friday June 7. Starting on that night, we will be open until Midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, until 11 PM on Thursdays, until 4 PM Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays, and CLOSED on Tuesdays. On tournament days, the lake will stay open until 2 AM."
