GENERAL CONDITIONS Water level at the dam remains at 112.5 feet, water temps are 62 degrees, Daytime highs are in low 80's and overnight temps are in the 50's

Trout: very good -anglers are displaying a lot of trout limits
Catfish: good- some large cats (15 lbs +) have been caught recently
Largemouth Bass: some reports of caught and released down by the dam
Bluegill: No reported catches yet this season.

NEWS FROM THE LAKE With the recent fish plants at Lake Hemet, anglers have been displaying a lot of trout limits while trolling on the south shore line and around the dams, seems to be the most popular method for the locals... (Needlefish and Rapalas 15-30 feet down. Shore fisherman both young and old have produced impressive strings using power baits. Most fish caught are around ?? pound (10-12 inches) but many strings show holdovers up to 18 inches. With a 1800 lb. fish plant on May 8th we can expect the trout fishing on Lake Hemet to remain productive.
