Trout fishing slowed this week at Diamond Valley Lake, Stripers & Crappie are on the bite however

Surface Water Temp: 60-67 degrees
Fish Plants: No more this season
Lake Hours: 6:00am - 6:30pm
Weather: The Forecasts show temperatures in the high 50's to low 80's this week. Wind has been picking up around 2pm.

BASS
Anglers have been using senko's in watermelon and green pumpkin colors. Also reports of morning dawn and margarita mutilator colors for the drop shot. Anglers have still been bed fishing, wacky worm and fly lining have been the best for senkos.

STRIPER
Jesse Mena, pictured above caught a 5.71 pound striper using a white fly by the south side of the west dam. Anglers are still using cut bait like anchovies and sardines.

CATFISH
There were no reports of catfish this week. Typical bait for the cats are nightcrawlers, chicken liver and shrimp.

TROUT
No reports of trout this week. Typical bait for trout are mini jigs, powerbait and powerworms.

PANFISH
With warmer weather this week we should see some more panfish up in the shallows. Jesse Mena from Hemet caught a beautiful crappie this week (see Photo #1). Most common bait is mealworms, redworms, and nightcrawlers.
