Largemouth and Trout are active at Castaic Lake

Fishing is picking up at Castaic Lake and Largemouth Bass are in spawn mode. The Bass are taking nightcrawlers, flukes and roboworms. Stripers are biting swimbaits. Carp are seen in shallow waters jumping during the morning and evening hours. Castaic will also receive a trout plant this week as weather warms up.

Largemouth fishing continues to remain excellent at the Fish Arm in Elizabeth Canyon, Utopia and Hawk's Nest. The Largemouth are biting on nightcrawlers and Roboworms. The Striped Bass have been holding tight around the Marina with most being caught off the dam on swimbaits. The Largemouth at Castaic Lake are chasing the swimbaits, lunkers, punkers and plastic worms. The have been biting around Hawk's Nest, Eucalyptus and Dry Gulch. The Stripers have been biting well further down the shoreline to the right off the marina and by the dam. Swimbaits, umbrella rigs and flukes are still working for the Stripers....... Read More
