Trout fishing was good early in the week, due to the 4,000 lb. plant of "Nebraska Tailwalkers". The best action came from the shore at Marina Point with just about any bait or lure working. Later in the seek the lake was plagued by high winds so trollers had a difficult time. Cachuma Lake will be receiving one more 4,000 lb plant from Calaveras Trout Farm on April 18th. That is just prior to the annual trout derby which will be held on April 20th and 21st.

Bass fishing has been inconsistent but should get better once the winds die down. The same holds true for Crappie, Catfish and Carp all of which were showing up in numbers before this weather pattern developed.
