The final week of fishing at Anaheim Lake was excellent with anglers taking advantage of half-price permits and collecting a lot of nice stringers of rainbow trout, including a number of trophy fish.

The big fish of the final week was a 14-pound rainbow landed by Daniel Kalahele, Orange, fishing a chartreuse jig at the spillway from shore. Jen Goodman, Yorba Linda, had an 11-pound rainbow on a white Lip RipperZ jig also at the spillway from shore.

Anaheim Lake closed for the season after this past Sunday's fishing, and it will remain closed until Santa Ana River Lakes closes again for routine maintenance.
