Trout anglers who want to avoid the shopping malls on Black Friday should head for Irvine Lake to experience excellent trout fishing due to a bonus stocking load, Chamber of Commerce weather, and the chance at thousands of pounds of trophy rainbow trout in the 14 to 20 pound class.

The trout action had already been good this week, and late Wednesday afternoon, several thousand pounds of trophy-grade rainbows up to 20 pounds went into the lake, and they will be ready to attack angler's baits first thing at 6 AM Black Friday morning [November 23]. Even better, yet another stocking load of thousands of pounds of trout will go in sometime over the weekend.
