Surface fishing for calico bass has started to pop again at the channel islands. Today the Island Spirit spent the day in the kelp catching 234 mixed fish including CALICO BASS, WHITE SEABASS, SHEEPHEAD, OPALEYE, and MORE. Solid overall fishing for a "light line angler".

Pacific Eagle spent the morning in search of yellows with no luck at the island. Later in the day they moved into about 180ft of water to catch red snapper, lingcod, sculpin and more.

The weather is OUTSTANDING! Island Spirit will continue surface fishing and Pacific Eagle will continue the search for exotics. Both boats have open spot for the end of this week including this HOLIDAY WEEKEND!!

ALSO.. Pacific Dawn will be returning to our landing in mid-October. We are now taking open party reservations and booking private charters to fish the outer islands with captain Pat Cavanaugh!
