Trout action was slow to fair again this week. Temperatures were in the mid nineties with very late afternoon winds. Anglers should be prepared
for some summer grass accumulation although the Lakes' maintenance crew has treated both lakes. Water is cool and clear. Temperatures are
expected to continue below normal for the next week with most days in the low to mid nineties during the day and lows in the low sixties. Best bite was before 10am. Power Bait (especially salmon peach, garlic and orange), night crawlers, jigs and lures all caught limits. Hot spots included the northern shore of lake 2 as well as the western shore and grassy point of lake 3.
Anglers are reporting prime bass action using senkos and drop shotted night crawlers on both lakes. Bass hot spots include the eastern shore near the wall and the northern shore near the bridge of lake 2 as well as the northern and western shores of lake 3.
Bluegill bite was slower this week with angler using meal worms and crappie jigs with fish up to one and half pounds. Hot spots for bluegill include the south western and eastern shore of lake 2 and the northern shore of lake 3.
Catches of the Week: Scott Carpenter of Apple Valley reeled in a 4 lbs rainbow on chartreuse Power Bait from the grassy point of lake 3. Matt Paulson of Rancho Cucamonga caught his 3 lbs. 2 oz. rainbow from the eastern shore of lake 3 using a night crawler.
