A late spring weather system brought high winds and colder temperatures to the high desert this week. Trout action was good to very good with anglers using PowerBait ( especially salmon peach, chartreuse and rainbow), night crawlers, jigs and lures to catch limits.

Hot spots included the western shore of lake 3 as well as the eastern and northern shores of lake 2. Catfish were biting on Power Bait, shrimp and mackerel on the grassy point of lake 3 and the eastern shore of lake 2 with fish up to 4 pounds.

The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round.
Hours: Friday through Sunday--7am to 4pm.
