Report for Sun May 15th, Island Spirit  ? Day and Pacific Dawn's first day of its 2-Day trip. Nice LIMITS of ROCKFISH with about half being RED SNAPPER for Island Spirit. Things started out slow at the oil platforms, but things changed at the Island. Good bite on sculpin and chucklehead rockfish as well.

The Pacific Dawn reported EPIC fishing at San Miguel Island with monster red snapper "ripping up #40 leaders". Crazy quality, Capt Pat Cavanaugh said it was the biggest reds he had ever seen. He said you couldnt fit more than 10 in a sack before they spilled out! ..WOW

Next OPEN PARTY trip departs Tuesday morning at 6am aboard the Island Spirit. Wednesday the Island Spirit has its "halibut special" departing at 5am.

Pacific Dawn has an overnight trip departing Tuesday night at 10pm to fish Wednesday, fishing the outer islands. Thursday night they have a "fishing with Dan Hernandez" trip, fishing Friday. 12 open spots on this trip!
