The Island Spirit and Pacific Dawn both snuck a trip in today with a looming storm on the horizon. Todays fishing didnt come as easy as in the past few days. With weather playing a major factor, both boats worked hard to fill the sacks, and mission accomplished! Capt Pat Cavanaugh called in limits at about noon, with mostly reds. Luckly, due to our location here in Ventura Harbor, the Island Spirit 3/4 day was able to stay out of the weather most of the day, and saw (again) excellent fishing. By the early afternoon, wind pushing 25+ knots, both boats limited out on quality rockfish. Looking at another day of high winds ahead, so look forward to our next report mostly likely this Tuesday or Wednesday.
