Trout action is excellent on both lakes this week with anglers using Power Bait ( especially salmon peach, garlic and rainbow), night crawler (with marshmallows or Power Bait ), jigs ( green and white crappie), lures to catch limits. Hot spots included the eastern and western shores of lake 3 as well as the northern and eastern shores of lakes 2. Bass bite continues to be slow but still are being caught from both lakes on senkos, spinner bait and night crawlers with anglers reporting fish up to 4 pounds. Hot spots for bass include the northern shore of lake 3 near the pump house and the southeastern shore of lake 2 near the wall. Catfish are hitting shrimp, Power Bait and night crawlers on both lakes with most in 3 pound range. Hot spots include the southeastern shore of lake 2 and the western shore of lake 3.

Catches of the Week: Mark Russo of Lancaster caught a 3 lbs 15 ozs rainbow on salmon peach Power Bait while fishing the eastern shore of lake 3. Tim Guild of Chino Hills reeled in a 3 lbs 9 ozs trout using rainbow Power Bait from the northern shore of lake 2. Jason Ornelas of Corona caught his 3 lbs 10 ozs trout on a kastmaster from the western shore of lake 3.

The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round. This year the Lakes' hatchery is amping up the weekly trout stockings with bigger fish overall.
