While I would love to say fishing is off the hook at Lake Skinner, it simply is not the truth. The mixture of weather betwee cool and wet and hot and dry made for an interesting mix of fish, but this past week, we did not hav any dominate species. Striper are probably the most improved. Boils in the morning and the evening have most fishermen just waiting for the lake to erupt. Most of the striper are hitting soaked baits, however some are having luck with some top water action as well as swim baits. Inlet/Dam still remains the best spot but the East End channel and the channel that leads back up into the Ramp #2 area have the most reports of boils. Catfish are still hitting, but most seem to be moving for the deeper waters. Some shore action still good for cats but mostly only on the hot days. Bass and bluegill were both hit and miss this past week, but the bass still are exciting some fishermen as they are still hitting some poppers in the morning near reed lines. For more information please contact the Marina at (951) 926-1505.

Rate the action based over the past week:
Bass --> Fair
Bluegills --> Fair
Carp --> Fair
Catfish --> Good
Sriper --> Excellent
