Again Lake Skinner is hosting the 2010 Solar Cup, May 14th-16th. Please keep in mind that weekend the East End will be closed for boating and private boats will be launched from Ramp #2. Bass fishing has been awesome as the water level is full and the days have been warm and the bass are moving back into more shallow water and are once again becoming aggressive. Dark plastics still seem to be the best, but night crawlers are doing good as well. South Shore and East End have been the best by boat and the shore around Social Security Point has been the best for shore fishermen. Catfish are starting to make noise as well since the warmer weather. People are reporting increasing numbers, most coming in off of mackerel and chicken liver. Big bluegills are coming in as well back along the coves in the Ramp #2 Area, south Shore and the East End. For those of you hunting big carp they have been active long the reeds hitting worms. Oddly enough several trout have been reported this past week. Striper fishing is somewhat slow, people are working hard just to get a few of them.

The following are the fish ratings:
Bass: Excellent
Bluegill: Good
Carp: Good
Catfish: Fair
Striper: Fair
Trout: Fair
