Anglers had to use everything in their tackle boxes this week. Power Bait ( garlic, salmon peach, lemon twist and rainbow), night crawlers doused with anise or garlic, lures and jigs caught good size ( near or over two pounds) trout. Best bite was before 10am with a late afternoon kick. Hot spots included the western shore of lake 3 as well as the eastern and northern shores of lake 2. Bass are starting to hit senkos, spinner bait and night crawlers from the south eastern and western shores of lake 2 and the western shore of lake 3 near the bridge. Catfish are being caught on Power Bait, night crawlers, mackerel and shrimp from the northern and eastern shores of lake 2 and the western shore of lake 3. A few bluegill have been caught on night crawlers from the south eastern shore of lake 2.

Catches of the week: Frank Padilla of Phelan caught a 14 Lbs 2 oz albino catfish from the western shore of lake3 near the bridge using a night crawler. Stan Andrews of Azusa reeled in 3 lbs 6 ozs rainbow using salmon peach power bait from the northern shore of lake 3 near the pump house.
