The Native Sun used the week of Record Rains and strong winds to renew their Coast Guard certification. The Native Sun finally made it out for  ? Day fishing on Saturday; they were able to pick up Cured Sardines and Frozen Squid from San Pedro Bait Co - to continue the Sand Bass fishing. The bite was slow all day, but the quality of fish was there. The Captain Gabriel Cabellos and the crew reports that Leadheads with a Green & Glow Colored plastic tipped with squid, was the hot ticket to get bit. This Wednesday Kicks off the Pot of Gold Halibut Tournament, Opening Day will be skippered by Captian Kevin Nguyen. The interest is higher than any of the previous years from Anglers wanting to get in on the action, and last minute sponsors are jumping on board to add to the already great Prizes: the latest sponsors are Avet Reels and Seeker Rods!
